Antioch, CA | August 2019

Originally opening in 1934 as a nine hole course, Lone Tree was built on open hillsides adjacent to Mount Diablo State Park and was defined by the grassy hills the course was set upon.  Nine more holes were constructed in the early 1950’s and through the years various trees were added which gave the course the definition it now knows. The course is characterized by rolling fairways that are lined with mature indigenous trees.  At this par-72 layout, the putting surfaces are maintained impeccably and require close observation to down grain break towards “the river”.

Sherwood Forest Golf Club

Sanger, CA | November 2019

In the San Joaquin Valley, one of the Fresno golf courses that stands apart from others is the Sherwood Forest Golf Club, located on 105 scenic acres just a few minutes east of Fresno.

Since 1968, golfers have enjoyed playing 18 holes along the banks of the Kings River through the beautiful grove of mature Oaks and Sycamores that makes up the “forest” at Sherwood.

The Central California golf course was hand-built by former PGA Pro Carol Hansen and wife Jane. The Hansen family has taken great pride in developing Sherwood Forest into an immaculate “destination” public golf course with a country club atmosphere.
